A spacious two bedroom flat located on the second floor of a grade II listed building, overlooking the picturesque Market Place in the heart of historic Woodstock. Located above the former Nat West Bank, the apartment offers very comfortable accommodation for four guests in two double bedrooms, one with a four poster bed. The rooms have high ceilings and large traditional sash windows overlooking the market place. There is a large sitting room, and a fully equipped kitchen with stunning views over the Oxfordshire countryside. Central Woodstock is bustling with activity in the daytime, yet very peaceful at night. Blenheim Palace and numerous excellent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants are just a walk away. You will feel like a town resident staying here!

About Our Home

Guests access the apartment through a ground floor entrance to the rear of the main building via a wide staircase. There is a private car park behind the building available at night time and during weekends. The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with chin-aware and utensils, induction hob and oven. There is a washing machine, dishwasher, and a fridge-freezer. The spacious living room is furnished with a sofa and easy chairs, a writing desk, a wide screen TV, unlimited fibre wi-fi internet, and a dining table for six people. The living room overlooks the market square with superb views of the Town Hall and Bear Hotel. The Saturday morning market is fun to observe from the apartment, and you will enjoy shopping there.

There are two bedrooms in the apartment: The master bedroom has a four-poster king size bed. . Bedroom two is a double bedroom furnished with two 3ft single beds, that can be configured as a king size double bed – please advise your preference when booking. There is a family bathroom with bath and a “power shower”. The toilet is separate to the bathroom.

About The Neighbourhood

With its glorious honey-coloured streets full of picturesque creeper-clad cottages and elegant town houses, Woodstock combines excellent modern amenities with olde-worlde English charm. Woodstock is an enviable place to live: its charming centre boasts a museum, post office, two banks, numerous inns, teashops, restaurants, a number of boutiques and local stores along with a host of other services. Fresh produce, and a whole lot more, can be picked up at the local delicatessen, while artisanal bread and a great cup of coffee are available from the Natural Bread Company on the High Street.

There are major supermarkets just a few miles away, and the property is within the delivery area of the Waitrose in nearby Witney. Blenheim Palace is within a stone's throw of the property, one of Britain's most magnificent stately homes with lush landscaped gardens and sparkling lakes, it is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. The Palace offers walks and game fishing within its grounds and numerous other recreational and sporting activities throughout the year.

Woodstock is a well-connected town, there is a regular bus service to Oxford city centre (8 miles), Junction 9 of the M40 is 9 miles away and the beautiful Cotswolds only 11 miles away.

Things To Note

Private parking is available between 6pm and 8am and all day/night on weekends and public holidays. There is free street parking usually available in Woodstock and a 24 hour free car parks within 5 minutes walk.
